I can't say enough good things about Chris and Eunice! Their presence and influence in my life has been much more impactful than they can ever know. I've been led, mentored, and taught by them for about six years now in various ways. I've learned from them through many different aspects including their Biblical teaching, pastoral care, marriage counseling, mentoring, and friendship. They are a couple that make people feel safe while also giving them a chance to grow. They cultivate freedom and health in an environment of grace and truth. I first met Chris and Eunice during the summer of 2017. At the time, they were serving as team leaders in Eurasia, and I spent about a month under their leadership for the final portion of my training for the field. That time was invaluable to me, and I often referred back to it during my 18 months in North Africa. The class that impacted me most during that time was a class that Chris taught on the book of Galatians. I remember sitting through those classes, taking notes, and believing every word with my mind but having such a hard time believing it with my heart. Even still, I knew this was the revelation God wanted to give me, and that’s exactly what He did during my time in North Africa. I think my exposure to the kind of grace Chris talked about inspired me to study the book of Galatians for myself and have conversations with God about what He was actually like. Learning to have those types of conversations with God changed everything for me. My life has been impacted not only by Chris’ teaching but also by the way he lives his life. I think so many students and young missionaries are drawn to his leadership because his life truly is a reflection of what he teaches.

Chris and Eunice are amazing! We were blessed to be able to spend a few years on the field with them, while we were dating and engaged. They were our marriage counselors and biggest cheerleaders, and we often went over to their home to spend time together. During that time we gleaned so much from them, but what has personally impacted us the most would be their vulnerability in opening up their lives to us. They gave us full access into their lives, the good and the bad, from fun hangouts to their kids throwing up into buckets, and have taught us that family is created in the small seemingly insignificant moments of hospitality and generosity. We are so thankful for those few years of close-knit community together with them! Even though we live on opposite sides of the world now, we still carry life lessons we've learned from them. Now we have our own home and it really wouldn't be the same if we hadn't done life with the Hos! Their family's obedience to the Lord continues to provoke us in ways beyond ministry. They are truly a giving family!
