Happy Birthday, Chris!
Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband, Chris!
During this pandemic season, where we have been home a ton, has made me even more grateful for my family and especially my husband.
Whenever I think about Chris, this verse keeps popping into my head, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12:
Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Chris brings the perfect balance into my life. Anyone who knows me, knows I get a lot of ideas and vision in my head. Chris is the one who helps me unpack and execute my ideas. He is the one that calms me down with his peaceful, chill presence when I get overwhelmed. He is also the one who encourages me to follow through on the projects I begin, instead of just leaving them unfinished like I am often tempted (haha)
In this season, I am especially grateful because Chris has also become my personal trainer. I love junk food and being lazy around the house. We realized pretty early in the pandemic season that if we aren’t intentional about our physical fitness, our health will likely decline. He has been helping me be accountable to a good health routine and I am so thankful because there is NO WAY I would have done this on my own…just being real.
This season has taught me again how God uses the relationships in our lives to strengthen, refine, and encourage us.
Chris, I celebrate you and I am so grateful for your life. The kindness, peace, love, gentleness, fun, and good food that you bring to our family is immeasurable. We love you so much! May you daily feel the Lord’s pleasure over your life.
Here are some photos of our family and some yummy things Chris has cooked up recently😍
